Another fun trip to the Zoo

Max and I went to the zoo with Sarah, Connor, and Barb today. We had a great time! It's a good safe way for the kids to burn off some energy and to enjoy being outside while it's still nice out. The weather cooperated perfectly and it was a nice sunny day with a cool breeze.

Max wasn't too sure about getting too close to the goats at the farm exhibit, but thought they were pretty interesting. Connor had no fear and patted all of their heads and Sarah had fun feeding them.

Max seems to do ok missing his morning naps as long as we have an activity to keep him busy, but I can definitely tell when he gets a little loopy and tired. We start our "Busy Bodies" class with Connor and Barb in 2 weeks and that class is during his usual morning nap as well...but I think it will go fine since he'll be occupied with other kids and things to do. I'm really excited to see him interact with other kids his age and to see how he does being seperated from me for 1/2 the class. I think I'll probably have more problems with the seperation than he will! :)

Another fun filled summer day...it's hard to believe that this time next week the kids will be back in school. Max is going to miss seeing his big brother during the day!

After a little help from a good friend (Thanks, Kate!!)...I figured out how to add the youtube directly...

Here's is my little jam sandwich nut!

Papa's 1st kicks

Papa B felt the baby kicking for the 1st time last night. BabyBlast was very active (I dunno...could have been the cookies we made and ate shortly before??!) and we were just watching tv in bed...so I placed his hand on my belly and almost immediately he felt some kicks. It's so special when you get to this point in the pregnancy because this is something that Brad can actually partake in. Not that I wouldn't mind sharing the morning sickness, constipation, shortness of breath, exhaustion, and funky appetite. ;)

I can still remember the first time I felt Michael kick ever was January 14th, 1992 (I wasn't aware of any flutters or anything prior to that). And the first time Brad felt Maxwell kick was January 13th, 2006. These days are precious to me/us!

A Fun Filled Family Weekend!

Papa B was traveling most of the weekend, so unfortunately he missed out on a lot...but the boys and I had a great time!

Saturday night we had a wonderful dinner at Mikey & Dave's to celebrate Kathy and Jack being in town. It was a great time and so nice to be able to spend some time w/ so many of my cousins and their kids! We went so long without little children around...so it's really fun to see so many little rug rats running around again!

Here are a few photo's of our great night!

Sunday the boys and I went to the State Fair w/ Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time and used the park and ride which was terrific and FREE! We filled our bellies with corn dogs, fair fries, fried green tomatoes and corn fritters (YUM), mini-donuts, and veggie fries. We got there at 9am and left around 12:15 or so...right when the sun started to get really warm and the crowds were picking up. Max was so good despite losing 3 hours of sleep the night before and his morning nap. And he was so enthralled w/ all the people watching, lights, and stimulation...that he forgot that he was stuck in his stroller for so long...bonus! :)

All in all...it was a great weekend!

Belly pic and Max after a shower!

Well, here is my 17wk belly picture. As you can see...a definite bump is forming!! I've noticed that my belly is getting thicker starting higher up than it was with Max.

And here is my little pumpkin after an impromptu shower with his papa. This little dude LOVES to brush his teeth. Well...rather he likes to chew on his toothbrush. A LOT! It's a real party when it comes time to taking the toothbrush away from him too. :)

While I'm sharing...I have to post this video of Max eating his 1st Jelly sandwhich. He was an absolute stitch and just hamming it up for the camera. I have NO idea where he gets his silly personality! ;) This is one of my favorite most recent videos of him.

(I tried several times and for some reason I'm not able to upload the video directly...click on the youtube link to see it...sorry!)

Baby kicks...

It's been about a week & 1/2 now that I've been feeling nice baby kicks...the flutters actually started pretty early on (at the end of our 13th week). With Max the flutters started during my 15th week and by the 18th week they were real kicks and I had an anterior placenta which should have masked some of the movement.

It's pretty exciting feeling this new little miracle kicking away. It's almost like a neat reminder of what's to come.

Life in the Werth home is good. Nothing much to report...Brad is in LV traveling on business and will be back late tomorrow night, so it's just me and the boys. We have a family gathering at Mikey and Dave's tomorrow...I'm really excited to see everyone! It's been awhile and my cousin (Nicole) is supposed to be there with her newborn! Actually quite a few of my family members have yet to meet little Max...so I'm looking forward to showing him off as well.

Hmmm...nothing else to talk about...how boring, eh?

I'm tackling hemming Mike's new jeans tonight before school starts. That should be fun. Hopefully I don't hem them too short! :) It's really horrifying speaking of using a sewing machine...period. WAAAAYYY too domestic! LOL!

A new "home" for us!

I've blogged a little previously with my pregnancy with Max...but switched over to his babysite and stopped blogging. With our newest addition joining us in February...I figure it will be hard enough to leave the house...much less keep up w/ 2 babysites, etc.

So...this is our new "Home"!

I hope all of you friends, family, and stalkers (that was just for my paranoid father!) check in on us regularly to see how casa de Werth is!

By the way...although Max's site will not continue to be updated...his site is:

www.babysites.com/sites/jwerth

And our newest addition's site (which I will try to keep up with along w/ this blog) is:

www.babysites.com/sites/mamaj

login: werth
password: babyblast

Well, not much to report today. Brad left bright and early for a trip out to the IJ corporate office in CO and will be gone until Wednesday night. No big plans for me and the boys...Max and I will probably have a play date with Sarah, Connor, and Barb this week and Donna is coming for a visit midweek. Then my parents will watch Max on Friday night as we have our IJ August Car show.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week....thanks for joining us on this blog ride!

Love,
J
