High Five

I forgot to post this picture from the other day...this is Max giving Miles his first High Five. I thought it was cute. :)

I got in a 1 hour nap this afternoon while both the boys were napping and Mom and Amy were keeping an eye on Miles just in case he woke up. It felt great. Probably about 7 hours too short...but felt great just the same. Funny how a simple hour of extra sleep can do wonders.

The boys and I are enjoying our week w/ Mom and can imagine that she'll be coming out for more visits when she retires at the end of this school year. She loves the cuddle time w/ her Grandbabies and I'm realizing more and more each day that help from others is wonderful. (Plus as a bonus she's been bringing me out Vanilla Latte's from Caribou every morning...the caffeine is a God send about then! :) I'm a bit thick headed at times and tend to want to be that supermom that can handle everything all by myself and perfectly...but having the extra help from both the Grandma's the past few weeks has been a blessing.

That being said...it'll be just me and the boys next week. Brad is back to work full time this week and I'll be juggling the two of them by myself. I'm actually looking forward to the challenge (must be lack of sleep talking, right?!) and figuring out a new schedule that works for us all. And as much as Max has loved all the extra attention...I think he's ready to get back into a regular routine as well. He loves being down the basement so much that I'm going to have Brad start splitting up his days and working out of my office for part of the day so that I can bring the boys down the basement and Max can get a change of scenery. There's more room to run around and I think he gets bored being confined to the main level. We all will be so happy when spring rolls around and we can spend some time outdoors. In fact...I fear I may never be able to be inside as Max would prefer to be outside all the time. Guess we are going to have to invest in a nice playset in our yard this year!

We gave the boys baths tonight. Brad bathed Max in our tub and I bathed Miles in his babytub on our sink. It is hilarious how completely opposite they feel about bathtime right now. Max was having a blast and would spend another hour in the tub if we let him and Miles started screaming the minute I put him in the water until I got him out and warmed up a bit. Poor kid. I'm going to have to start running warmer water for him...he just hates to be cold. He's got some lungs on him too! :)
